Electrical loads in critical building systems have grown tremendously, sometimes by as much as 400% versus comparable older buildings.  With larger power loads comes the need for larger volumes of fuel storage for emergency generators.

Earthsafe fuel systems are modular and network ready.  So they lend themselves to applications in tall buildings where even life safety generators have some complexity.  Fill stations may be at grade, small bulk tanks in lower levels, and generators on the building roof.

Design of these fuel systems is complex and requires technical details to minimize risk.  This Willis article is an overview of the risk and design requirements.
